Roser Receives NEAC Player of the Week Recognition

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Junior Ashley Roser (Taberg, N.Y.) of the women's basketball team drew North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week honors for her performance this past weekend, the conference office announced Monday. Roser and the women's basketball team posted a 58-45 victory over the Hawks of Hilbert College on Saturday in the team's first game of the season.

Against the Hawks, Roser led the team in several offensive and defensive categories, including points (15), field goals (4), free throws (8), total rebounds (26) and blocks (4). Her 26 rebounds ranked her second all-time in program history in single game totals, trailing her own program and NEAC record (31, Penn St.-Berks, 02/13/11) by just five. She did, however, manage to rank fourth all-time in NEAC history with 26 boards in one game.

As a team, the Express set a program record with 64 rebounds collectively. As an individual, Roser has 936 career points, averaging 20.3 per game across her 46 career games played. Additionally, she ranks first in program history in field goals (313), free throws (298), free throw percentage (.741, 298-402), rebounds (656), assists (108) and blocked shots (131).

The selection of Roser by the NEAC is her seventh career conference award nod and the first of this season. For a complete list of award recipients, click here.
