Wells College women's basketball senior Carley Ryan reached a significant career milestone as the Express lost 62-52 to Penn State Abington on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Schwartz Athletic Center. Ryan made a 3-pointer in the opening minute of the game which allowed her to reach 1,000 points scored in her Wells career.

Ryan's early 3-pointer was part of an excellent start to the game for the Express. Wells built a 12-0 lead to start the opening quarter and held Penn State Abington without a point until 3:42 remained in the opening quarter. The Express led 15-7 after the first quarter and 22-20 at halftime.

Wells held its lead heading into the third quarter, following a back-and-forth third quarter in which the teams combined for 37 points. Wells led 40-39 after three. Medovich reached the milestone last week. Both players were honored in a brief halftime ceremony as they joined Ashida Cooper '17, Holli Erkson '16, and Ashley Rozer '14 in the 1,000-point club for the Express.
