Lancaster Bible College Wins Over Wells Women's Basketball

The Wells College women's basketball team was defeated 67-42 by Lancaster Bible College on Saturday, Feb. 9 at the Schwartz Athletic Center. Wells had three players score in double figures.

The Express took its only lead of the game in the first quarter by scoring the first four points of the game. Lancaster Bible answered with a 14-2 run and led the rest of the way.

Jordan Jacobs led Wells with 14 points, Shelby Medovich scored 13, and Carley Ryan had 11 points. Maritza Scharoun led Wells with seven rebounds and was one of three players with two steals in the game, joining Medovich and Ryan.

Lancaster Bible shot 52 percent from the floor and Caitlin Hickey led all scorers with 33 points including five 3-pointers.

Wells is back in action Sunday, Feb. 10 at noon for a home against Gallaudet University.
