On Thursday night the Express took on the SUNY Morrisville Mustangs
The Express were hoping to gain their second win of the season and the Mustangs were trying to secure a post-season birth.
In the first quarter, the Mustangs came out ready to grab a lead. They jumped out to a 19-7 lead on the back of Kayla Dykas's 7 points and Rachel Vieira 5 points. The Express were able to generate shots (14) but were only able to score on 3 of them. In the second quarter, it was much of the same as the Mustangs once again scored 19 points but the Express only were able to find 5 points. Giving the Mustangs a 38-12 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Mustangs were boosted by bench production most of the half to help them maintain their lead. Meanwhile, Sonia Rivera tried to pick up the scoring for the Express dropping 4 points in the third quarter, but it was not enough as the Mustangs gained a road win by the score of 63-26.
