Women's Basketball Hosts SUNY Oswego

Wells College women's basketball hosted the SUNY Oswego Lakers Monday night for their final game before fall break.

The Lakers were 2-2 coming into this game while the Express were still looking to secure their first win.

For most of the first quarter, the Express kept up with the Lakers being down 16-12 after one quarter. In the second the Express were outscored 25-6 helping the Lakers build a 41-18 lead at halftime. A bright spot for Wells was first-year forward Trinity Thornton who had 17 points and 8 rebounds while going 4-4 from the free-throw line. Thronton led all scorers for both teams.

Up next for the Express, they will travel to Pitt Bradford on Wednesday the 29th for their first conference game of the season.
