Wells College women's basketball hosted the Alfred State Pioneers Wednesday night for their third conference match-up of the season.
The Express have been plagued with a few injuries making offense hard to come by. The Pioneers played almost the entire first half with the full-court press defense helping them build their lead and force turnovers. Wells did the majority of their scoring in the second half with 5 points from Trinity Thornton, 2 from Christa Koagel, and 2 from Sadie Combs. Wells College fell to the Pioneers at home, 59-9.
Up next, Wells will host Penn State Altoona this Saturday at 1 PM
