WOMEN'S LACROSSE DROPS SEASON OPENER TO ITHACA

Ithaca College scored 13 goals in the first half en-route to a 19-4 victory over the Wells women's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon at Cornell. The Express were led by Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) who scored all four goals on six shots, while finishing with four ground balls. Goalie Liz Barclay (Newcastle, ME) finished with seven saves on the day. Kirsten Musciano (Boonton TWP, NJ) also had an assist.

The Bombers jumped out to early lead scoring just three minutes into the game on a goal by Nicole Borisenok. Ali DeCircle would give Ithaca a two goal lead just over a minute later. Emily Lotkowictz would cut the lead in half 2-1 on a free position shot. From that point on the Bombers would go on to score 11 unanswered goals and put the game away.

Ithaca outshot the Express 34-8 and grabbed 28 ground balls to the Express 13.

The Express will next play Centenary College on Saturday, March 7th, at 1:00 pm at Centenary.
