First-Place Morrisville Runs Past Women's Lacrosse

The Wells College women's lacrosse team lost 21-4 at first-place Morrisville State on Saturday, April 14. The Mustangs had a run of seven goals in the first half and nine goals in the second half of the game. Morrisville is undefeated in North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a 5-0 record and Wells is 2-2 in the NEAC.

Mackenzie Maloney, Madi Walikis, and Miranda Mingen scored first-half goals for Wells and the Express trailed 12-3 at halftime. Renee Bartosz scored in the second half for the Express on an assist from Mackenzie Maloney. Maloney had one goal and two assists in the game.

Wells goalkeeper Anna Bozeat had six saves and Delaney Kendrick had two saves. Morrisville State had a 16-9 advantage in draw controls. Mingen and Savanah Connors had three draw controls each for Wells. Maloney and Molly Doubet had three caused turnovers apiece.
