Connors & Barbour Named NEAC Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Savanah Connors and Kaylin Barbour, both of Wells College, collect this week's North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week awards.

Savanah Connors (East Moriches, N.Y.) is named the NEAC Offensive Player of the Week after being responsible for one third of all Wells goals in the team's first win of the season.

The senior midfielder converted five of eight shots and added an assist for a team-leading half-dozen points in an 18-3 road victory at Salem this past Wednesday.

Connors added four groundballs, two draw controls and caused a turnover.

Kaylin Barbour (LaPlata, Md.) is named the NEAC Defensive Player of the Week after stopping six of nine shots directed at her in the team's 18-3 road victory at Salem this past Wednesday.

The freshman goalkeeper protected the cage for the full 60 minutes and earned the victory.

The Express evened their record at 1-1 for the season.
