Lomonaco, Express Continue Streak in Spring Break Showdown Against Old Westbury

EAST PATCHOGUE, NY - The Wells Express Women's Lacrosse continued their early-season success on Sunday against SUNY Westbury, only allowing 1 goal in what was yet another complete and dominant performance for the team.

First year midfielder Logan Lomonaco found the cage quite a bit in what was only her 3rd match in an Express uniform, as she weaved her way to a 5-goal and 3-assist outing, adding to her already spectacular first campaign in Aurora. The Binghamton, NY native has recorded 10 goals and 6 assists so far in 3 dominating wins for the Women's Lacrosse team.

Another first year phenom also had a huge hand in the win, as Express newcomer Hannah Lamont continued to stack on tallies in the draw control column. Lamont added 11 more draw controls in the victory, sustaining her outstanding draw control per game average at 12.3, good for 4th in all of Division III Women's Lacrosse.

The Express defense has also been an absolute bastion, only allowing 5 goals in 3 games so far this season. Senior goalie Lauren Spiegel has been amazing in the cage for the Wells Women, only allowing 3 goals in almost 100 total minutes of work throughout the first 3 matchups.

The ladies are outscoring opponents 57-6 over the first few games, beating opponents by an average of 17 goals.

The AMCC leaderboards feature a plethora of Express Women's Lacrosse representatives. Jade Epp ranks second in the conference for goals with 11. Epp, yet another talented first year, also leads the Express in the goal department. Senior midfielder Lydia Thomas is currently tied with Lomonaco for the AMCC lead in assists with 6.

Wells Women's Lacrosse will be back at it tomorrow, with a Monday evening bout against SUNY Purchase. They'll look to continue their early-season success with a 4:00 PM scheduled start. Stream live by following the link on the Express Women's Lacrosse webpage!
