Emily Lotkowictz scored her fourth goal of the season and Claire Petersen notched her third shutout of the year as the Wells College Women's Soccer Team (5-4-0) defeated North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent SUNY IT (3-6-0) 1-0 Saturday in Rome, NY.
Despite being outshot 16-5, the Express were again able to rely on the solid goaltending of Petersen who finished with seven saves. The lone goal was scored 17-minutes into the second half as Lotkowictz's shot was able to squeeze by the outstretched hand of Laurel Hosmer to give the Express the lead.
The Women's Soccer Team will next travel to Alfred University for a non-conference match-up on Wednesday, October 8th at 7:00 pm.
