WOMEN'S SOCCER ROLLS TO 4-0 VICTORY

Aurora, NY –Four different players scored as the Express rolled to a 4-0 North Eastern Athletic Conference victory over the visiting Penn St. Abington Nittany Lions on Saturday at Wells. The Express controlled both sides of the ball, firing 29 shots while allowing just two shots from the Nittany Lions. Sara Petroski finished with 12 saves in the loss for the Nittany Lions who fell to 0-5 (0-2 NEAC); with the victory the Express improve to 2-6 (2-2 NEAC).

Despite controlling the ball for the entire game, the Express spent much of the first half trying to solve the Nittany Lion defense scoring late in the first half on rebound shot by Rebecca Furman to give the Express a 1-0 lead.

The second half would be completely different story as the Express opened the flood gates scoring 29-seconds into the half on a goal by Rachel Mattraw. It would be all Wells from there as the Express would put 20 more shots on net, including scoring twice more on goals by Sarah Spezzano and Adrianna Perry, cruising to the 4-0 victory.

The Express will next take on the SUNY IT Wildcats on Saturday, October 3 at 12:00 pm at Wells.
