Women’s Soccer Shut Down By Hilbert, 4-0

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Wells College women's soccer team was blanked for the third-straight game on Wednesday, falling to the Hawks of Hilbert College by a 4-0 margin Wednesday afternoon on the road. With the loss, Wells falls to 1-7 on the year while the Hawks improve to 2-4 on the season.

Robbi Bailey and Sarah Schmidt each struck twice against the Express, accounting for the game's only offense. Jackie Morgan racked up an assist on each of Bailey's strikes while Bailey went on to assist Schmidt's second goal of the game in the 55th minute.

Only three Wells shots reached Hilbert goalkeeper Erin Smith, who turned all of them aside for her second win of the year. Express goalkeeper Kylie Nishioka (Encinitas, Calif.) made 10 saves against 14 total shots for Wells.

The Express return to action this weekend as they host the Phoenix of Wilson College on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 2:00 p.m. Wells continues North Eastern Athletic Conference play on Sunday, facing-off against the Bison of Gallaudet University in a 1:00 p.m. tilt on Sunday.
