Bush Earns NEAC Third Team All-Conference

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Senior captain Lindsey Bush (Averill Park, N.Y.) was selected as a North Eastern Athletic Conference Third Team All-Conference player in recognition of her performance for the Wells College women's soccer team during the 2013 season. Bush, a first-time winner of league honors, saw action in 53 games across her career.

In 2013, Bush set career-highs for the Express as a key member of the team's backfield. She scored two goals for four points (2-0=4) – on offense, each of her goals were of the game-winning variety while on defense, she ranked second amongst all defensive players with 1,546 minutes logged on the field.

A four-year member of the women's soccer team, she was tabbed as her team's Rookie of the Year in 2010 after appearing in 17 games for Wells on defense. In 2011, Bush suffered an injury that prevented her from playing any games as a sophomore. Despite her injury, she served as a team manager and helped to conduct practices while performing other team administrative duties.

In 2012, Bush rebounded to make 17 appearances following her injury while recording her first collegiate point, an assist on the game-winning goal, against Hilbert on Sept. 5. In her career, she has played the fifth-most minutes by any Express player dating back to the 2008 season despite missing time as a sophomore.

In the classroom, Bush was tabbed as a NEAC Scholar-Athlete as a freshman (2010-11) and has earned Dean's List honors during her time at Wells. She graduates this spring with a degree in English (Creative Writing) and a minor in Anthropology.
