Women's Soccer Stopped By Hartwick, 4-0

ONEONTA, N.Y. – Sophomore goalkeeper Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.) made four saves as the Wells College women's soccer team was shutout by Hartwick College on Wednesday under the lights of Elmore Field. Wells (0-2) remains in search of their first victory of the season while the host Hawks picked up the win in their season opener.

Hartwick continued to apply the pressure, firing 10 more shots in the second half and cashing in with goals from Ashley Connolly, Maddy Paul and Emily Lewandusky down the stretch to build a 4-0 lead.

Cumulatively, Hartwick outshot the Express by a 26-to-1 margin but placed only eight shots on goal. Senior Heather Hiltbrand (Fayetteville, N.Y.) recorded the only shot of the game for Wells, a blast that was high over the crossbar near the end of the first half.
