Second Half Goals Lead Keuka Past Women’s Soccer, 2-0

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. – The Wells College women's soccer team was defeated by Keuka College on Saturday by a 2-0 score. Wells falls to 0-3 within the North Eastern Athletic Conference after posting their ninth loss in 10 games. Keuka moved to 2-5-1 overall on the year and to 1-2 within league play.

Keuka outshot Wells by a 17-to-8 margin in the contest despite entering halftime tied at zero. The first goal of the game, however, came only 46 seconds into the second half as Danielle Desimone struck the far post with a shot that caromed in behind Wells backstop Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.). The Wolfpack would strike again only 4:10 later after a cross by Desimone was sent to the near post and tapped in by Hannah Dalle.

Doubet made six saves for Wells. Keuka goalkeeper Kenna Kosinski earned the shutout, making all five saves in the 90 minute affair.

Wells hosts the reigning NEAC champions from Morrisville State College on Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 4:15 p.m.
