Doubet Nets Defensive Player of the Week Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Sophomore goalkeeper Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.) of the Wells College women's soccer team was selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Doubet picks up her first-ever Player of the Week selection after backstopping the Express to a 2-1 victory against Cazenovia on Saturday.

Against the Wildcats, Doubet made three saves on four shots as Wells set a team record with six NEAC victories on the season. Earning her fourth victory of the year in her team's season finale, Doubet wraps up her second year in a Wells uniform with career-highs in minutes played (1433:27), appearances (17) and saves (93).

For her career, Doubet has seen action in 31 games and has made 144 saves in just over 2,313 minutes played.

Competing in its 36th season as a varsity program, the women's soccer team at Wells finished its season scoring 45 goals and 26 assists for a team single-season record of 116 total points. Averaging 6.11 points per game, the Express tied the record for most goals scored in a single season (45) and set the record for team assists with 25.
