Fourth-straight win for Wells women's soccer

The Wells College women's soccer team posted its fourth-straight win in a 6-0 victory at Gallaudet University on Sunday, Oct. 2. The Express scored twice in the first half and pulled away with four goals in the second half of a North Eastern Athletic Conference match. Wells is 7-3-0 overall and 4-2-0 in the NEAC. Gallaudet is 2-7-0 and 1-6-0 in the conference.

Emma Booth continued her torrid scoring pace with two goals in the first half. Her opening goal came in the 23rd minute and was unassisted. Her second goal was set up by Autumn McLain and came with 3:47 left in the first half.

Booth assisted on the first two goals of the second half for Wells, both scored by Mackenzie Maloney. Maloney's second goal was quickly followed by another for the Express, as Yanna Ososkalo made the score 5-0 just 61 seconds later on an assist from Amber Welsh. The final goal of the game was scored on a direct kick by Erin Persons.

Sunday's match capped a string of six consecutive road games for Wells, and the Express went 5-1-0 in that stretch. Wells plays its next six games at home, all against NEAC opposition.
