Women's Soccer Challenges Itself Against Ithaca

The Wells College women's soccer team tested itself against a high-level non-conference opponent and fell to Ithaca College by an 8-0 score on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Carp Wood Field in Ithaca, N.Y. The host Bombers are nationally-ranked in most seasons and have the most all-time NCAA Tournament appearances in the nation.

Ithaca scored seven goals in the first half and added one in the second half.

Erin Persons and Mackenzie Maloney each had two shots for the Express.

Quinn Doubet made five saves and Karlie Maloney made four saves.

Wells is 2-3-0 on the season and Ithaca improved to 2-4-0.

The Express returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Elmira College.
