Morrisville Rallies For Win Over Women's Soccer

The Wells College women's soccer team scored in the first five minutes of the match but eventually fell by a 2-1 score to visiting Morrisville State College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday, Sept. 30 at the Wells Turf Field. It was the first loss of the year at home for the Express, which had won its previous two home games.

Morrisville tied the score in the 11th minute on a give-and-go play that set up a breakaway. The winning goal came with 18:08 remaining in the second half when Morrisville's Jessica McGee shot from 23 yards out and scored off of the inside of the left post.

Quinn Doubet made seven saves for Wells. Morrisville held a 14-13 advantage in shots and 10-8 margin in corner kicks.
