Cedar Crest Defeats Wells Women's Soccer

The Wells College women's soccer team lost 6-0 on Sunday, Sept. 8 against Cedar Crest College at the Wells Turf Field. Goalkeeper Jennifer McCumber made 16 saves for Wells.

The visiting Falcons scored three times in each half and held a 32-3 advantage in shots. McCumber's 16 saves marked her third consecutive game with double-digit saves and she had 45 saves overall through the first three games of the year.

Abby Smith, Mackenzie Powers, and Maeghan Westmiller each had a shot at goal for the Express.

Sunday's game concluded the non-conference portion of the Wells season, as the remaining 11 games in the regular season are against North Eastern Athletic Conference opponents. Wells is back in action Saturday, Sept. 14 with a home game against Morrisville State.
