UTICA DEFEATS WOMEN'S SWIMMING

UTICA, N.Y. - The Wells College women's swimming team fell 156-90 to the Utica College Pioneers on Saturday afternoon in Utica, N.Y. Despite, the loss the Express had several strong performances on the afternoon.

The 200 Yard Medley Relay Team of Hallie Hanson (Ashville, N.Y.), Erika Bareiss (Clinton, N.Y.), Idolyn Villiotti (Amherst, N.H.), and Olivia Touron (Cato, N.Y.) placed second with a time of 2:12.14. Bareiss also had several strong individual performances finishing first in the 100 and 200 Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:22.21 and 3:02.52 respectively.

Villiotti placed first in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:12.63 and touched the wall in first place in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:13.95. Villiotti also placed second in the 200 Yard I.M. with a time of 2:42.79.

Touron also had strong day placing second in the three individual events which included the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:25.22), 100 Yard Freestyle (1:04.76), and the 500 Yard Freestyyle (6:28.56).

The Express return to the pool this Thursday when they travel to take on SUNY Cobleskill at 6 .m. in Cobleskill, N.Y.
