Feudale Collects NEAC Swimming Student-Athlete Of The Week Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Freshman Hilary Feudale (Coal Township, Pa.), a member of the Wells College women's swimming team, captured North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Swimming and Diving Student-Athlete of the Week honors for the week ending Oct. 21, 2012, the conference office announced late Monday afternoon.

Feudale, a freshman, finished first in all four of the events she competed in during her team's 95-22 victory over Bard College at Simon's Rock on Saturday, Sept. 29. She captured first place individually in both the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.33) and the 50-yard backstroke (0:31.38) and also led off during the 200-yard freestyle relay team (2:04.83) and the 200-yard medley relay team (2:06.31).

In the 100-yard backstroke, Feudale's time of 1:09.33 ranks her fourth all-time in program history, trailing the all-time record holder, Jennifer Ingold, by only 2:91 (Nov. 19, 1991 – 1:06.42). Feudale also partnered with Meghan Terry (Delmar, N.Y.), Gabby Spencer (Trumansburg, N.Y.) and Olive Touron (Cato, N.Y.) to turn in the sixth fastest time in program history in the 200-yard medley relay.

The Express return to action Saturday, Nov. 3 as they compete against The College at Brockport in a 1:00 p.m. contest on the road.
