Women's Swimming Defeated By Oswego St., 105-63

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Wells College women's swimming team posted a 105-63 loss to the Lakers of Oswego State University on Saturday. Wells falls to 0-1 in head-to-head meets on the year while Oswego State improves to 1-2 on the season. The Express remain winless (0-23-1) all-time against the Lakers dating back to the first-ever meet between the two squads on Dec. 4, 1975.

Sophomore Amelia Flint (Bath, N.Y.) opened the scoring for Wells with a 12:59.92 time in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle, earning three points with a third place finish. Senior Olive Touron (Cato, N.Y.) completed the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:20.22, placing second for the Express to earn four points in the event.

Sophomore Gina Ross-Detro (Geneva, N.Y.) turned in a third place time of 30.17 in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Touron later added a strong performance later in the meet, placing second with a 100 Yard Freestyle time of 1:03.10 to earn four points for her team. The remaining Wells points came following Oswego State exhibitions.

The Express return to action Saturday, Nov. 8 as they host Utica at the Wells College Aquatic Center at 1 p.m.
