ESSEX FELLS, N.J. – The Wells College men's and women's swimming programs were selected as College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams for their academic prowess during the Fall 2014 semester. Supported by Nike Swim, the award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher in the fall semester.

The men's swimming team at Wells combined to post a 3.32 grade-point average, tying for 17th amongst qualifying NCAA Division III programs. The Wells women were tied for 25th place nationally with a 3.43 combined average, earning Scholar All-American placement for the first time since the Fall of 2011.

Piloted by Trish George, the longest-tenured active coach at Wells, the men's swimming program at Wells placed third at the recent North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship meet while the Express women turned in a fourth place finish. Combining the results of both teams, Wells posted 35 career-best times, earned 25 NEAC All-Conference awards and registered 24 new All-Wells Top 10 times.
