Women's Swimming Nets 116-94 Victory Over Bard

UTICA, N.Y. – The Wells College women's swimming program picked up a 116-94 victory over Bard College and lost to the hosts from Utica College by a 141-62 margin on Saturday. With the split, Wells' overall record stands at 1-2 on the year. 

Freshman Courtney Cloutier (West Springfield, Mass.) posted a first place finish in the 200 Yard Butterfly, completing the event in 2:39.56 to capture first place by just over 13 seconds. She later added her second first place finish of the afternoon in the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:09.61), the ninth-quickest time of completion in team history.

Senior Quinn Griswold (Alpine, N.Y.) later added a first place finish of her own in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:29.75, a season-high time that remains the fourth-fastest in team history. Her time of 6:10.43 in the 500 Yard Freestyle gave her a second first place finish on the afternoon. She also picked up a second place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:10.35), finishing only 1.99 seconds behind the top finisher from Utica. 

Wells returns to action Saturday, Nov. 14, welcoming Cedar Crest for a 1 p.m. home meet.
