Women's Swimming Defeated By Alfred, Le Moyne

ALFRED, N.Y. – The Wells College women's swimming program posted back-to-back losses against NCAA Division II Le Moyne College and the hosts from Alfred University on Wednesday. With the losses, Wells falls to 1-9 overall on the year.

Wells, competing against the Saxons for the first time since Nov. 12, 1997, was saddled with a 172-68 loss to Alfred before dropping a 201-53 decision to the Dolphins in the first-ever meeting between the two institutions.

The Express posted their best finish of the day in the first event of the afternoon, completing the 200 Yard Medley Relay in 2:09.36. Senior Quinn Griswold (Alpine, N.Y.), junior Gina Ross-Detro (Geneva, N.Y.), sophomore Kaitlyn Schwend (San Marcos, Calif.) and freshman Courtney Cloutier (West Springfield, Mass.) made up the foursome for the Express.

Wells returns to action Saturday, Jan. 16 as it faces-off against Pitt.-Bradford on the road at 1 p.m.
