Women's Swimming Competes In NEAC Tri-Meet
The Wells College women's swimming team swam against North Eastern Athletic Conference competition with a tri-meet on Saturday, Nov. 11 at Cedar Crest College. Wells fell by a score of 129-99 against Gallaudet University and lost 129-85 against Cedar Crest.
Shannon Simmons had three individual-event victories as she took first in the 50-yard backstroke in 35:30 seconds, first in the 50-yard freestyle in 29.08 seconds, and won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:16.04.
Emily Cooper was third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 14:52.87 and Asa Cade placed fourth in 14:52.92.
Anna Bozeat was third (2:36.29) and Amy Storti (2:37.88) was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle. Bozeat took third in the 500 free in 6:54.20.
Tiffany Core was third in the 50-yard breaststroke in 45.84 seconds and third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:40.68.
Jeanna Swift was third in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:46.93.
Wells was second in the 200-yard freestyle relay as Cooper, Bozeat, Simmons, and Storti finished in 2:11.07.
The Express is back in action Saturday, Dec. 2 at SUNY Cobleskill.
