2020 Women's Swimming & Diving Results Expected by End of Week

LATHAM, N.Y. – Following the conclusion of Sunday's final day of the 2020 North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Women's Swimming & Diving Championship, the conference office became aware of a discrepancy in the final results that were announced on site and the results that were distributed publicly after the event.

The NEAC Executive Committee, comprised of league personnel, conference athletic directors, presidents and administrators, will be reviewing the meet scores in according to Rule 7, Section 13 in the NCAA Swimming & Diving Rules Book. Upon the completion of committee's review, we will confirm the accurate final results from the 2020 championship in the coming days.

"We understand the frustration that surrounds this situation and upon a thorough review from our committee, we will distribute the correct results and final standings. After determining a swift resolution, our committee will also be reviewing the circumstances surrounding this event and how we can prevent such errors in the future at our league championships," stated NEAC Commissioner, Stephanie Dutton.

"What should not be lost in this is the high-level of competitiveness that we witnessed at this past weekend's championship. Our student-athletes provided an exciting atmosphere and displayed high levels of sportsmanship throughout the weekend. We remain proud of our student-athletes and will not only resolve this issue, but seek to do better by them in the future," added Dutton.
