Sophomore Eliza Schwab (Hartland, N.Y.) set up 40 kills and classmate Olyvia Brazier (Stony Brook, N.Y.) fell only one dig shy of tying the all-time single match program record with 25 to her credit.

The Chargers took the first match after unfortunate attacking errors when tied at 18 all allowed the hosts to make a quick run to a 25-22 opening set win. Despite trailing by a 6-0 margin in the second set, Wells quickly turned the match around and came back from a 16-9 deficit to post a 25-21 win after Kadjeski's back-to-back kills while trailing 20-19 catapulted the Express to the lead.

Wells once again overcame a deficit in the third set, trailing 19-17 and eventually capturing a 25-22 win. With Leite-Ah Yo serving at 20-20 after a key kill from freshman Amanda Springer (Norwood, Mass.), she posted back-to-back service aces before Springer followed with another kill to set the score at 23-21. The Chargers committed a service error before an attacking error to grant Wells the victory.

The Express cruised to a third set victory as a kill by Nettles put Wells ahead 13-7 and she later served her team for six-straight points to take a 19-7 lead. The Express forced the Chargers into two time outs in the final six plays, but the early damage had been done and Wells secured the come-from-behind 3-1 match victory.
