NEAC Defensive Award For Leite-Ah Yo

Wells College volleyball senior Anuhea Leite-Ah Yo was picked as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. It is the second time this season that Leite-Ah Yo has earned NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week recognition.

Leite-Ah Yo, a senior outside hitter and defensive specialist, amassed 99 digs over five matches for the Express to average 5.21 digs per set. She also recorded 15 service aces, 13 kills and two block assists on the week. Leite-Ah Yo is the NEAC leader with 308 digs through the first month of the season.

Wells stands in first place in the NEAC North Division with a 4-0 conference record, and Wells is 11-8 overall this season. The Express plays Thursday, Oct. 5 at Elmira College and hosts Penn College and Medaille in matches Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Schwartz Athletic Center.
