NEAC Player of the Week Honor For Jackie Allen

Wells College women's volleyball junior Jackie Allen earned North Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 16, 2018. Allen helped the Express to a 3-2 record on the week including a NEAC-opening victory at Keuka College.

Allen is a junior from Syracuse, N.Y. She is majoring in Sociology and Anthropology with minors in Psychology and Women and Gender Studies.

In the match against Keuka, Allen led Wells with eight kills. She had six digs and one block assist.

Over the weekend, Allen excelled over four matches and was named to the all-tournament team at the Union College Invitational. She had 19 kills against Skidmore and 17 kills against Plattsburgh. She served 10 aces over four matches with 47 digs

It is the second week in a row that Allen garnered NEAC recognition. She was the Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 9. Allen was an All-NEAC Third Team selection in 2016.

Wells continues conference play with a 7 p.m. match Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Morrisville State.
