Volleyball Records 5-for-5 Milestones and Records

The five-day span from Oct. 5 through Oct. 10 brought a combined five milestones and records to the Wells College volleyball program.

Yesterday, in a 3-2 win at SUNY Poly, two Wells players hit milestones in the same match. Jordan Stoops recorded 1,000 assists and Jackie Allen registered 1,000 digs.

In addition, Allen broke the single match record for kills with 29. She entered the fifth and final set with 26 kills and just one shy of tying the record. But after a trio of kills in Wells' 15-10 set win, Allen set the new school record. The previous single-match record was set on October 10, 2015, when Vashti Nettles had 27 kills in a five-set victory over Westminster College. Adding those 29 kills to Allen's career total left her as the all-time career kill leader at No. 1 at Wells with 1,037 and counting.

On Oct. 5, in the team's first set 25-20 win at Houghton, Allen hit the first of the team's three milestones during the five-day stretch with her 1,000th kill.
