Women's Volleyball Drops Battle Of The Finger Lakes
Wells College women's volleyball was back on the road traveling to Keuka College on Tuesday night for another non-conference match-up. Keuka took down the Express 3-0.
In the first set, Keuka pulled away halfway through the set forcing a timeout from Wells with the score 20-15. Keuka would close out the set, 25-15. The second set looked like it was going to be similar until the Express called a timeout down 20-12. After the time out Miah Williams rattled off 7 straight serves to bring the Express right back into it. Keuka would hold off the Express unfortunately and take a 2-0 lead into the third set. In the third set, the Express would not let Keuka pull away and battled the whole set. Midway through it was all tied up 16-16. Elayna McDermott had a few late serves that gave Wells a chance late but the Wolves put the Express away in three straight sets.
Up next for Wells is a tournament this weekend at SUNY Canton and a Friday match at SUNY Potsdam.
