YOUNG PROGRAM CONTINUES TO GROW

It was a season of ups and downs for the 2008 men's and women's cross country teams. Still in its infancy, the program continues to make strides towards being one of the top cross country programs in the region. Although there were no outright team wins, the women's cross country team earned its first ever runner-up placing at the Hobart College Invitational. Also a first for the program, Kirsten Musciano earned her first ever individual championship at the Keuka College Invitational placing first with a time of 22:30.

Both Musciano and Kayleen Wilkinson were named SAAC Athlete of the Week during the season, while Musciano was named NEAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week and 2nd-Team All-Conference.

Although the men's team continues to go through growing pains there were quite a few positives to take from just their second season. The men's cross country team will return all runners from the 2008 season. Three different runners for the Express placed first on the team for Wells led by freshmen Samuel Share who led Wells in 7 out 10 meets on the year. Freshmen's Brandon Johnston and Evando Nascimento also led Wells during the season.
