SHUMKSKI AND WILKINSON LEAD CROSS COUNTRY AT GOLDEN FLYER INVITATIONAL

Rochester, NY –The cross country teams traveled to Nazareth College to participate in the Golden Flyer Short Course Invitational this Saturday.

The men were the first group to race over the rolling trails, slippery slopes and mud filled puddles.  Freshman Brayden Shumski led the men for the sixth straight week.  He earned an individual award with his 9th place finish and ran a time of 19:07.46.   Sam Share was next for the express with his 32nd place finish and time of 21:04.24.  Evando Nascimento moved up the pack well and recorded a time of 21:30.21 and placed 36th.  Van Buscko completed our pack for the day with his 53rd place finish.  Van completed the course in 22:47.99.

Senior Kayleen Wilkinson led the Express women with her 32nd place finish and time of 18:31.21 over the 4k course.  She was followed by Sarah Brenner 57th/21:14.08, Brittany Dennee 63rd/25:52.06, Beth Cereo 69th/25:02.29 and Beth Raymond 72nd/32:38.74.  The ladies were able to place in the team scoring for the sixth straight week.

The cross country team will travel to Geneva, NY next weekend to participate in the CCOC Championships at Seneca Lake State Park.
