Women's Cross Country Races At Yellowjacket Invitational

The Wells College women's cross country team competed in a field of 27 teams and over 185 competitors at the Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17. The event was hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester and the runners competed on a six-kilometer course.

Amanda Fastiggi was the fastest of the five Wells runners in the race and finished with a time of 27 minutes, 40 seconds. Deaven Theriault was next across the line in 28:02.

Jenn VanWormer (32:26), Rutsuko Ueda (33:13) and Rosalety Galea (38:09) were the other competitors for Wells.

The Express will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Anderson Invitational at Roberts Wesleyan in Rochester.
