Four Women's Cross Country Runners Compete At Hamilton

The Wells College women's cross country team prepped for the upcoming North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships with a tune-up event Oct. 22. Runners competed at the Hamilton College Short Course Invitational over a four-kilometer course at the Hamilton College Golf Course in Clinton, N.Y. The race was run in cold, rainy, windy weather.

A total of 66 runners completed the course. Four Wells runners competed as individuals, with Amanda Fastiggi leading the Express participants across the finish line with a time of 17:49, placing 30th. Deaven Theriault was 34th with a time of 17:58.

Jenn Van Wormer finished at 20:37 and Rutsuko Ueda was the fourth Wells participant and she completed the course in 21 minutes, 39 seconds.

The Express will compete at the NEAC Championships on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Lancaster, Pa.
