Women's Cross Country Takes Ninth At Oswego

The Wells College women's cross country team placed ninth at the Oswego State Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16. The five-kilometer course covered a mostly flat terrain on the Oswego State campus, located on the shores of Lake Ontario.

Amanda Fastiggi was the first finisher for the Express with a time of 24 minutes, 12 seconds and she was followed by Nana Ogata in 25:52. Next across the line for Wells was Miranda Mingen in 26:39.

Other Wells competitors included Kaylen Furr (27:01), Rosalety Galea (34:20) and Aala Al-Hashimi (35:54).

The field of 110 runners was comprised of nine teams. Five other institutions had entrants, but did not field a full lineup.

The Express will return to competition Sept. 30 at the Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational.
