Women's Cross Country Wraps Up Season At NEAC Meet

The Wells College women's cross country team placed 11th at the 2017 North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship meet hosted by Morrisville State College on Saturday, Oct. 28.

A total of 11 complete teams finished the course with a full lineup and two other incomplete teams were entered in the race. The six-kilometer course at SUNY Morrisville was contested under mild and breezy conditions. There were 93 runners who completed the event with two disqualifications and two DNFs due to injury.

Three Wells runners finished in the top half of the field.

The top finisher for Wells was Amanda Fastiggi, who took 32nd overall with a time of 30 minutes, 0.7 seconds. Nana Ogata was next across the line for Wells in 41st place with a time of 30:50. Miranda Mingen was 44th overall in 31:01.

The scoring lineup was concluded by Rosalety Galea in 41:07 and Aala Al-Hashimi in 42:45. Kaylen Furr did not complete the race.

Wells totaled 252 points, and was 15 points behind 10th-place Gallaudet University.
