Athletics Facilities

Wells College provides state-of-the-art facilities for all student-athletes. Outdoor facilities include dedicated fields for men's and women's soccer, men's and women's lacrosse and field hockey, along with four outdoor tennis courts. Indoor facilities include a field house, fitness center, swimming pool, locker rooms, tennis courts, and athletic administration offices.

Completed in 2016, the artificial turf field serves as the primary site of competition for field hockey, baseball, softball and men's/women's soccer and lacrosse. [CLICK FOR MORE]


The Farenthold Athletic Wing underwent extensive renovations prior to the 2015-16 academic year. The facility is host to the men's and women's basketball and volleyball programs at Wells College. [CLICK FOR MORE]

The fitness center at Wells College boasts state-of-the-art equipment that is available to all students, faculty, and staff. Memberships are available for members of Finger Lakes communities. [CLICK FOR MORE]

The Wells College pool, opened in 1956, is home to both the men's and women's swimming programs and has five competition lanes and ample stadium seating. [CLICK FOR MORE]

The Aurora campus has four regulation-sized tennis courts that are used by the women's tennis team and the campus community at large. The elevated courts have a breathtaking view of Cayuga Lake. [CLICK FOR MORE]

In use by the College's student-athletes for more than a century, the Athletic Association Field was the former home of the field hockey team prior to the construction of the artificial turf field. Overlooking Cayuga Lake, the Athletic Association Field is home to the Athletic Association House, which houses locker room facilities. [CLICK FOR MORE]

The former home of the Wells College soccer and lacrosse programs, the South Athletic Field is home to a regulation-sized natural grass pitch that is used for practices and select game competitions. [CLICK FOR MORE]

 

Constructed within the Schwartz Athletic Center in 1956, the upper gymnasium now serves the campus as an auxiliary gym that is regularly used for practices. The baseball and softball teams use the space for batting practice with a fully-netted cage and members of the community utilize the four hoops within the space recreationally. [CLICK FOR MORE]

Constructed in 2012, the Express team room serves all of Wells' teams as a comfortable space to meet as a group. Utilized for staff meetings as well, the room is furnished with conference tables and has a projector for the review of game film. [CLICK FOR MORE]

Accommodating all of the College's student-athletes, the sports medicine facility holds a collection of state-of-the-art equipment designed to prevent injuries and speed up the rehabilitation process. [CLICK FOR MORE]
