Panthers Return to KOA Arena to Host Wells

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will return to action in KOA Arena on Friday night as they will take on the Wells Express in a non-conference tilt.

The Panthers enter the game on a tough 3-game skid, as they have lost three tough games away from home. On Wednesday, the Panthers dropped a nailbiter at Hiram. They erased an early 12-point deficit to build an 8-point lead with 15 minutes to go. After Jeremy Rodriguez made two straight layups to put the Panthers up 1 with 30 seconds to go, the hosts were able to strike back with a bucket of their own with 6-seconds left. Nate Schneider had a chance to win the game at the buzzer but saw a final layup and two free throws roll off the rim s the Panthers fell 82-81. Schneider led the Panthers with 22 points and 9 rebounds in the game. Phillip Wallace scored 16 points, while B.J. Williams scored 12 and Jeremy Rodriguez added 11.

Schneider is the Panthers leading scorer, as he averages 25.0 points per game. He leads the AMCC in scoring and rebounding, as he also grabs 12.5 rebounds per contest. Phillip Wallace is also in the top 10 in the conference in scoring, as he adds 15.8 points per game. Jeremy Rodriguez has led the Panthers bench, as he has added 7.8 points per game. B.J. Williams leads the Panthers in assists with 3.3 per game and adds 7.8 points per game.

The Wells Express is 0-2 so far this season. In a midweek matchup, they fell to Cazenovia 88-83. Billy McRae led the Express with 19 points in the loss, while Marcus Buckridge added 16 off the bench. Jarek Feliz scored 14 points and grabbed a game-high 7 rebounds. Terrance Clayton-Murphy also reached double-figures, finishing with 12 points. McRae leads the Express with 19.5 points per game, and Feliz adds 14.5 per game. Ivan Oduro-Dompreh leads the team with 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game.
