Dunn’s 88 paces the Express at Hamilton Invitational

Clinton, NY- The Express golf team participated in the Hamilton Invitational at Skenandoa Country Club on a windy Tuesday afternoon.  The express finished 11th shooting a 409 on the day.  Leading the way for the express was sophomore captain, Taylor Dunn (Williamstown, MA).  Dunn shot an 88 in the 25mph winds, and drove the ball beautifully all day.  Dunn said of the weather conditions, "we have been practicing in cold, windy conditions for the past few weeks, but the differences in course styles left us hesitant in some of our shot selections."  Dunn, and freshman Kelli Furney (Camden, NY) improved their scores from their last match at Cazenovia Country Club.  Dunn improved by 3 strokes, and Furney, who was the only female in the event, improved her score by 8 strokes.

The Express are looking to continue their improvement on Thursday at the Keuka Invitational.  Dunn said of the Keuka event, "we are looking forward to playing Thursday and posting some better scores."
