Bio

Carolyn Connors '74 returns to Wells as the Assistant Coach of the men's and women's swimming programs in September of 2013. Connors, a long-time resident of Aurora, returns for her second stint as an assistant coach, having originally assisted the Express from 2007 to 2011.

A 1974 graduate of Wells with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Connors has served as a swimming official for over 30 years. From 1978 to 2007, Connors was a NYSCSO swimming official and was involved with the State meets for four years. Starting in 1981, Connors served as an NCAA swimming official, working meets at Wells College, Ithaca College, Cornell University and SUNY Cortland.

From 1991 to 1999, Connors served as the Modified Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach at Lansing High School in Lansing, N.Y. Her duties included teaching the basic strokes to competitive swimming, organizing and implementing practices and drafting lineups for meets.

With the Express, Connors assisted the men's swimming team to the school's very first NEAC Championship in 2009-10.
