These interviews are hosted by Nick Karski on "Between The Lines" for ESPN Ithaca. All interviews air weekly on Tuesdays at 5:00 PM during the collegiate athletics season.

Josie Krieman (First Year Pitcher - Softball) 4/23/24

Wells softball wraps up the month with a trio of doubleheaders this week and will be looking to end the regular season on a strong note. First year pitcher Josie Krieman has put together some quality starts in the circle for the Express and joins the show to discuss the season so far.

Lauren Spiegel (Senior Captain - Women's Lacrosse) 4/16/24

 Wells women's lacrosse continues to be on an absolute roll, as the Express have won 11 straight games since the beginning of the season. Lauren Spiegel has anchored one of the best defenses in the country, putting together monster numbers between the pipes. She joins BTL to look back at what's gone right for Wells with the regular season winding down. 

Aaron Izquierdo (Senior Captain - Baseball) 4/9/24

Wells baseball opened up conference play last week with a pair of losses to Hilbert, but the Express bounced back strong over the weekend with a doubleheader sweep against Pitt-Greensburg. Senior catcher Aaron Izquierdo joins the show to chat about this weekend’s big outing and the team’s great start to the season.

Wells women’s lacrosse has put together an unbeaten season through the team’s first eight games. The Express rank number one in the country in five statistical categories heading into the final seven games of the regular season. Head Coach Vic Goeller stops by to discuss what’s gone right this year for the team.

With the regular season wrapping up, Wells men’s volleyball has just four matches remaining on the schedule. Senior outside hitter Connor Garvey pays a visit to the show to discuss what it will take for the Express to pick up a conference win as the season comes to a close.

Lydia Thomas (Captain - Women's Lacrosse) 3/19/24

Wells women’s lacrosse is 5-0 to begin the season and have been getting contributions from all over the roster, including senior Lydia Thomas. She joins BTL to look back on the start to the year so far after receiving conference player of the week honors.

It was a big start to the Wells softball team over the weekend as the Express took both games of a doubleheader to begin the season 2-0, thanks in part to the dynamite pitching performances of Christa Koagel and Josie Krieman. Head Coach Grace Van Horn joins the show to look back on the sweep and preview what’s to come for the Express.

Wells baseball is back in the win column after holding off SUNY Poly in last weekend’s series finale, improving to 4-3 on the young season. Head Coach Ryan Stevens joins the show to look back on the weekend, and discuss the red-hot starts for a handful of players at the dish for the Express.

 The Wells men's lacrosse team is in the final weeks of the regular season, hoping to clinch a playoff berth in the United East postseason. Quinten Battle, who leads the team in scoring, stops by BTL to talk about his year, and what a playoff appearance would mean to him in his final season.

After dropping a three game series at Penn State-Harrisburg, the Wells Express baseball team is ready to right the ship heading into a busy schedule filled with United East competition. Sophomore Max Odum has had a strong season at the plate, leading the team in average, hits, runs and stolen bases. He joins BTL to talk about his year so far and the mindset of the team heading into April.

Makenzie Powers (Women's Lacrosse) 3/24/22

After an all-conference season a year ago, Mackenzie Powers has been having a tremendous start to 2022. She's coming off a seven goal, one assist performance in a win against Cedar Crest. She joins BTL to look back on the win, and talk about her athletic success in multiple sports.

Jacob Stine (Men's Lacrosse) 3/10/22

 Although they're off to an 0-2 start, the Wells men's lacrosse team is feeling optimistic about the rest of the season. Jacob Stine is coming off a five goal performance against SUNY Canton and was an all-conference player a season ago. He joins BTL to look back on the team's first two games and break down his role with the Express.

The month of January has been very kind to the Wells men's basketball team, as they've won six of their last seven games. Sophomore Ransel Rodriguez leads the team in scoring, and stops by BTL to talk about his red-hot scoring nights and the team's quest to win the United East.

 Despite an overtime loss last Sunday to Paul Smiths College, Waverly grad Morgan Adams had a monster performance - 21 points and 20 rebounds. She joins BTL to look back on her big day, discuss the second half of the season, and talk about the talent within the IAC and Section IV basketball.

Ty McBride (Men's Basketball) 1/6/22

 After missing last season because of COVID-19, the Wells men's basketball team is looking to contend for a United East title. Ty McBride has been putting together a career season, averaging more than 14 points per game on 46.1% shooting. He joins BTL to chat about his basketball journey from Florida to upstate New York, and what it will take for this team to win a conference championship.

The Wells men's soccer team recently beat Morrisville State 2-1, and scoring both goals in that game was midfielder Justin Butler. The Section IV product joins BTL to look back on the win, and discuss the tough conference schedule they've been dealt.
