EXPRESS BLOW OUT THE STORM

AURORA, N.Y. -  The Wells College women's tennis team blanked visiting Keuka Storm with a commanding 9-0 victory in North Eastern Athletic Conference action Tuesday afternoon in Aurora.  With this victory the EXPRESS improve to 4-4 on total season play and jump to 2-0 in conference play.

The Express got things going right away giving up only 7 total games in their three doubles matches.  From there the momentum carried the ladies at Wells through singles play, where impressive performances were given by everyone.  Chika Taguchi, Kate Ellis, Marie Shimazaki, and Kelly Pietruch all posted straight – sets victories by giving up only 5 total games in their 4 matches.  From there, Brittany Vanno and Caitlyn Copfer finished the contest with pro-sets earning scores of 8-0, and 8-4.

The Express return to action on Saturday where the take on College of St. Elizabeth at 1:00pm in Morristown, N.J.
