WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES SEVENTH AT OSWEGO

OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Wells College women's cross country team placed 7th out of 12 teams with 209 points at the Oswego State Cross Country 5K Invitational held at Oswego State Saturday afternoon in Oswego. Overall seven Express runners completed the afternoon race for the Express.

Emily Middlebrook crossed the finish line first for the Express placing 15th out of 113 runners with a time of 20:45.75. Lindsey Guzewicz crossed the line next in 38th with a time of 22:16.58. Brienne Goodson finished 81st with a time of 24:47.12. Anastasia Benson placed 85th with a time of 25:57.18. Veronica Frisenda finished with a time of 25:44.35 good for 92nd. Tara Wild placed 104th with a time of 29:05.32, while Sarah Deschenes crossed the finish line in 108th place with a time of 29:59.60.

Ithaca College took the overall top spot with 22 points, William Smith placed second with 78 points, and Utica College placed third with 83 points. Emily D'Addario, of William Smith, was the top individual winner crossing the finish line with a time of 18:53.91.

The Express will run next in the Hobart College Invitational on Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 am in Geneva, N.Y.
