Field Hockey Hosts The Chargers

Wells College field hockey was back on the turf Sunday afternoon against a familiar foe, The Lancaster Bible College Chargers.

Field Hockey was still looking for their first win of the season against the visiting Chargers.

The two teams played themselves to a 0-0 tie at the end of the first quarter thanks to some great saves from the Wells keeper, Saide Combs. Lancaster Bible took the lead in the second quarter by putting up four goals in the second quarter. They came out after halftime and added two more in the third and one in the fourth. The Wells offense had a few opportunities off penalty corners and a couple of strong shots from Morgan Brown, Grace Kahl, and Clara Lima. Unfortunately, none of the shots on goal could find their mark and Wells fell at home by a score of 7-0.

Up next, Field Hockey will host Keuka College on Wednesday.
