WELLS ROLLS PAST UTICA

UTICA, N.Y. - The Wells College women's tennis team steadily defeated the Utica College Pioneers 8-1 on Sunday afternoon in Utica. The Express swept the doubles fleet and took five of six matches in singles action to earn the victory.

Sarah Hansen, Caitlyn Copfer, Brittany Vanno, Chicka Taguchi, and Kelly Pietruch all earned straight set victories in No . 2 through No. 6 singles. No. 1 doubles Kate Ellis and Sarah Hansen earned an 8-5 victory, No. 2 doubles Caitlyn Copfer and Brittany Vanno earned an 8-2 victory, and Kelly Pietruch and Chicka Taguchi earned an 8-0 victory to rounoud the doubles sweep.

The Express return to action on Tuesday when they take on Oswego State University at 4 p.m. in Oswego.
