  • REWRITING THE HISTORY BOOKS: Wells concluded the three-day North Eastern Athletic Conference Championship meet in third place, finishing with 337 points in the four team field. Across the three day swim meet, men's swimmers from Wells combined to post 20 career-best times and the squad rewrote major portions of the record books with 14 different times within the top-10 in team history. The Express also placed third or better 12 times across the 38 event schedule, earning NEAC All-Conference honors with each instance.

  • RECORD-SETTING: During the NEAC Championships, two team records were set, including freshman Owen May's (Warsaw, N.Y.) 1,650 Yard Freestyle time of 19:11.12 on the final day of competition and senior Alex Lamphear's (Springfield, N.H.) 500 Yard Freestyle time of 5:20.46 on the first day. Outside of these two impressive records, Wells wrapped up its ninth year as a varsity program having added 17 different top-10 times to the program's record book since the start of the season.

  • GETTING THE "W": Wells picked up a 122-111 victory over Gallaudet University on Dec. 6, 2014 at SUNY Cobleskill. May posted a first place time for Wells in the 200 Yard Freestyle of 2:06.77, which at the time stood as the seventh-fastest time in program history. May later joined senior Tyler Fischetti (Weedsport, N.Y.) in the 100 Yard Freestyle, narrowly cracking the top-10 list of program-best performances with times of 56.72 and 57.13, respectively. May also notched a fifth place performance in the 50 Yard Freestyle (25.62).

  • A SPECTACULAR SENIOR DAY: The senior class did not disappoint the large gathering of fans on Senior Day against Pitt.-Bradford as Fischetti posted two first place finishes while Lamphear was a part of two second place and one third place finish. Fischetti helped the Express to a second place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay as his foursome notched a time of 2:07.02. His first place finishes came in the 50 Yard Freestyle (25.72) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (57.86).

  • MAKING IT HAPPEN: Lamphear was a part of the 200 Yard Medley Relay alongside Fischetti and later posted a third place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:07.43. Not only did he set a personal best in the event but he moves to ninth place in program history with the strong finish. With a second place finish in the 100 Yard Backstroke (1:04.99), he shaved nearly a full second off of his personal best time to re-set the sixth-fastest time in team history.

  • CALLING IT A CAREER: Fischetti earned Rookie of the Year honors in 2011-12 and was selected as the team Most Valuable Swimmer as a junior. A NEAC Scholar-Athlete in 2013-14, Fischetti earned First Team All-NEAC in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay that same year while also earning or helping his team to earn nine other Second or Third Team All-Conference honors during his career. He boasts the fastest 200 Yard Butterfly time in team history, setting the record (2:20.49) at the 2014 NEAC Championship, hosted by Cazenovia College.

  • NO "PHEAR": Lamphear graduated this past spring as a four-year member of the Wells men's swimming team. Leading off in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay at the NEAC Championships last season, the Express captured first place in the event (1:41.70). As an individual, Lamphear earned Third Team All-NEAC honors with a strong performance in the 200 Yard Backstroke (2:22.67) that also proved to be the third-fastest performance in team history.
